Graduation! and other things...

Well, I am officially a high school student no more! I have my diploma and all of my awesome awards (though I didn't get any cords...) and I am so enjoying the summer!

It's been great so far. The other day I found out that I won the Chairs for Charity poster designing contest. I got $100 that I immediately spent on an awesome 72 pack of prismas (they ROCK!) and my poster will be seen all over town from now until the event happens in late November. It feels pretty cool. I've never won anything before! Yesterday I went to the art museum to have my picture taken with my supervisor and the founders/coordinators of the Chairs for Charity event which should be in the paper some time soon. Not that I've never made the paper before, but this totally beats random pictures of me playing soccer!

So I went to the library yesterday and got a bazillion different books on fairy tales and folk legends, and I'm currently working on the works of Hans Christian Anderson. Some of them are rather cute, and some are rather sad, like the story of the Fir Tree. :(

Anyway, I also decided to break in my new Prismas yesterday and started this sort of trippy picture of Alice stomping through the grass when she's three inches high. It's not coming out exactly how I wanted it, but hopefully I'll finish it up later today and we'll see how it turns out.

Now, as for my graduation party, it was a blast! We had good food, a good server, and we played beer pong! My grandparents were playing for goodness' sake! I was really bad though; I didn't get a single one in! Oh well. My brother was very good though (cough, cough). Oh, and just for the record, we under-twenty-ones did not drink (even though I could have since I had parental consent and hand-to-hand transfer, which is legal in Wisconsin, :D). I got some nice gifts, mostly money, which will really help out and most likely go towards a laptop for college this fall! It was kind of embarrasing though, because after I left, my parents stayed and drank with some of the other parents there and got smashed :$ Oh well. They sobered up so all is well.

My only complaint about this summer so far is that all my friends are busy with Millie, so I hardly talk to them, much less see them anymore, though the summer is admittedly young. We never seem to be online at the same time, lol. I guess I just don't stay up late enough to catch them and I'm up way too early when they sleep in. But hey, there are lots of grad parties coming up so we're bound to party together once more! It's only, what, the second week of vacation? We simply must go to the beach when it gets nicer out! Tis always fun to go swimming in the lake!

Well I should wrap this up. Bye!
