So I'm in Eastern Religions class, and we are discussing the Hindu preacher/saint/guru/whatever-term-you-want-to-use Amma, a woman who gives darsham by hugging people. Now, our professor has spent several months living in Amma's ashram in India, and thus has been hugged by this blessed lady many times. Thus, a (disturbing) conversation occurred that went something like this:
Random Classmate: So you've been hugged how many times?
Professor: By Amma? I'm not sure. She's hugged me quite a few times. It's like a blessing of redemption.
One of Those Two Girls Who Always Ask Stupid Questions, Waste Our Class Times, and Act Like They are Smarter than the Professor: So, does that mean that I could recieve her blessing by hugging you?
Professor: ...
Me:...
The Whole Class: ...
Professor: Um, no.
And there you have it. Things are getting just a little creepy these days.
